About

A developer trained as a designer, working like a one-person product team

I am a front-end and full-stack developer based in Weston, Florida, working as an independent contractor through 27 Colab LLC, a two-person studio. I studied multimedia design and programming at a Broward County technical college and have been designing and building websites since 2011.

That path shows in how I work. I start from the user and the information architecture, build in code, and care about the unglamorous parts that decide whether a product holds up: accessibility, speed, search visibility, tests, hosting and security.

For four years I was the lead contributor on an insurance company's quote funnel, marketing site and React Native app. Alongside that I have been the sole developer of a senior-living wellness platform since 2019, built a Next.js and Strapi platform for a property-services company, and shipped an AI phone receptionist to production. Before all of that: 60+ small-business websites across South Florida.

I work in English and Spanish, remotely or on site in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area.

How I work with AI

I use Claude Code every day. On AI-assisted projects I write the spec, review every change, run the tests and decide what ships, and I say “built with Claude Code” because the agent writes much of the code in those sessions. My work before 2025 is hand-written, including a CMS migration parser and a WordPress platform built from wireframes to launch, which is why I can judge generated code quickly.

What keeps it honest: a CLAUDE.md in every repository, approval gates for anything outward-facing, evaluation suites for AI features, and handover docs when a project ends. This site was built that way, and checked by automated accessibility and performance tests.
